Here are some of the features it provides: - Standard System Information - Advanced system information : extremely comprehensive system information gathering (new!) - Realtime CPU graph & memory load information - Net tools: lookup, ping, network view - CPU speed test - Memory speed test(new!) - Fullscreen html reports; autosave reports on disk for later viewing (new!) System information gathering ---------------------------- This section can be found under the 'System information ' tab. Data is displayed in the top left corner window. By using the HTML Report feature, data reviewing becomes much easier, so make sure you check it out! Functions supported are: System information, CPU, Keyboard, Environment variables, Drives, Memory, Screen, Processes, Power & Battery, Sound, Services, Local IP's and Hostname, Sysini, Winini, Folders, Fonts, Mouse, Windows, BIOS information. The contents of this system information section has been optimized for compatibility with most Win32 operating systems. Advanced tab - extremely comprehensive information gathering -------------------------------------------------- This is a functions that list thousands of parameters of your system, grouped into a few tens of main categories, all available at the click of a button! here is the list of functions supported, although we can't list the thousands of parameters they provide, at just a simple click of a button: - Boot Configuration - BIOS - Processor - Partitions - Disks - CD-ROMS - Floppy - IDE - Keyboard - Logical disks - Motherboard - Network adapters - Pnp Devices - Modems - Printers - Sound - Serial Ports - Parallel Ports - USB controllers - Desktop Monitor - Video Controller - Logical Memory - OS - PRocesses - Environment Strings - DMA channels - IRQ resources - Device memory allocation - Port resources - Services - Terminal Services - System Drivers - Timezone information - User Accounts The contents of this section has been optimized for maximal quantity of information about the system. This section works on Win 2000/2003/XP, making use of the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) features of such operating systems. For older operating systems, please use the Sysinfo Tab. Realtime info ------------- The CPU graph and memory indicators show realtime info about these parameters, like memory allocation and page file. Benchmarking ------------ The CPU speed test allows you to check the estimated PR factor of your machine. The test takes about half a minute. Please note that most benchmarking operations stress hardware components - therefore weak or faulty components may occasionally fail during tests. We are not responsible if they do so - you run the test at your own risk. Make sure you close as many applications as possible before running the speed tests, so they do not interfere with the testing process. It is recommended that you perform the test 2-3 times to be sure of the result. PR factor: This is an estimated figure and may be different from other tests. For comparison, here are a few test results from practice: 1. Pentium 4/1800 Mhz -- PR 1780 (Intel mode) 2. Pentium III/800 Mhz -- PR 800 (Intel mode) 3. Pentium III/1200 Mhz -- PR 1215 (Intel mode) 4. Athlon Palomino 1700+ -- PR 1720 (AMD mode) The memory info gives an average Performance Factor (PF). When measuring the performance of your system, compare your PF with one obtained on other systems and by other users of the program. We intend to add a section on our webpage, listing PR's and PF's obtained by some of our users, so check out or product page from time to time. Network info ------------ The network info section allows resolving remote IP addresses and hostnames, as well as pinging ip/hosts, and network configuration. More functionality will also be added in future versions. Please note that scanning the network for info takes about one minute, and your operating system my seem frozen. Emsa DiskCheck -------------- This is an external tool that integrates with the application. We strongly recommend downloading it from our website and placing inside the main program install folder. This application scans CD-ROMs, DVDs and even hard drives, for surface errors and shows error information as well as speed information. Tools ----- These are actually a few simple gadgets that may come in handy. For example when checking disk space you may want to empty your recycle bin before checking the space. Things you need to know ----------------------- We recommend reading this carefully in order to understand the hows and whys about this program. Before doing any tests, please close all open programs and save your work. In some cases, system stability issues may occur - so make sure you are ready to do the tests before starting them.In some cases system may become unstable or lock completely; this is because most configurations do have various problems and we can't cover them all. If this happens, reboot your computer. Our program makes use of heavy system API in order to provide accurate, extremely comprehensive information about the system. Due to this fact and the wide differences amongst different machines, it is virtually impossible to have all functions work perfectly on ALL systems. We are continously working to improve compatibility, but not all functions may be available on your system. Also please note that some of the functions may temporarily freeze your desktop. Please wait patiently for the function to finish operating. Before starting testings, you may want to: - Put a floppy disk in the floppy drive - Put a CDROM in the CD drive - Connect the network cable or PCMCIA network card - Connect external modems and any other external devices - Connect and power up printers - log into network accounts you have etc. The testings also require that you are logged on as Administrator on your machine. Known issues, incompatibilities and recommendations --------------------------------------------------- - Windows 95 has very limited compatibility. We do not support Windows95 at all. - Never run the program from system folders. Never run the program on Desktop! Place it on a separate folder on one of your disks. - Avoiding fast repeatedly clicks on different tests may be a good thing to do, on systems with lower stability (some devices need a bit of recovery time) - In some cases, some functions may not work due to a mising dll on system, although the system you have may be compatible with the program. We intend to shortly release and mantain a FAQ (frequently asked questions) document on our website and perhaps provide links to download such dlls in case needed. Make sure you visit our site often, because the FAQ document is likely to change from time to time. In the future ------------- This program is a flexible system utility platform that we intend to improve and enhance with new features in the future. It is to be mentioned that we do not intend to stop here, but add more useful things based on our users comments and guidance. Please tell us what you would want to have in our application. There is a strong chance it may be added! Let us know what you are thinking and what new things you may want to see added. Your feedback is extremely important for us. System requirements ------------------- Any usual Windows machine with 4 mbytes of disk space will do. Plus, - 800x600 min screen resolution, mouse - Internet Explorer Support and feedback -------------------- Please refer to the license.txt file for information about support and feedback.
